Farms are scary
Ever thought about a farm? I mean really thought about it.
A farm is a place of misplaced hopes, betrayed trust, and death.
Nothing happens on a farm that is not centered on death. Corn is planted to be ripped down and eaten. Sheep gambol and gyre in the fields, to be led to the slaughterhouse.
A farmer is a death dealer.

yes but i grew up on a farm that was my fathers best friend. we would go out there on the weekends and my father would work with the farmer. mainly bailing hay which i helped with once i got older. but my story is i learned alot of life lessons while spending time on this farm. i.e. everyone had a job to do period. no excuse george and martha [the farmers] had 8 kids and everyone of them got up at 5 am on school days and did ther chores before they even ate breakfast. but it was fun i swear we milked the cows, fed the pigs, cows, and horses. i remember once i had gotten into trouble at school, well my father had taken me to the farm that weekend and boy did he make me pay, i had been driven out to very edge of there property which was about 200 acres and low and behold there was a tree that was just ripe for cutting firewood, well they gave me a chainsaw and a axe and said see you later and it better be done when they got back. well it was a back breaking day but i managed to wear that tree out. but i garantee i didn't get into any trouble for a long time.
i just remember that the food always tasted better on the farm also. the veggies, esp.the tomatoes were awesome. they also did alot of canning of fruit and veggies so there would always be something different. Martha would run the house, kids, and espically she would cook and breakfast was always the best. can you imagine cooking for 10 people at every meal in this day and age.
Now to get to the death as you call it. It never bothered me at all when they were slaughtering pigs, cows, or chickens. it seemed to me that martha would come and get some fresh meat and would be off to the kitchen. i guess i just seemed a natural thing to me when it happened
